What can I do for you?

In a bout of wild exageration, the German news magazine Der Spiegel (3/2001) described me as " ... a weathered IT warrior, who has planned the future of almost every company, almost everywhere in the world".

As the saying goes, "paper never refused ink" :-)

However, with over 25 years of (IT-centric) business experience in a multitude of roles, I can claim a large portion of "been there, done that". As a result, the services I offer are pretty wide ranging. Take a look at the descriptions - and the client comments - and see how I might help you and your business undertaking.

Business Consulting
Business undertakings need to be designed! I can support, participate in or even drive your business design process, from the initial idea generation, through detailed definition, to successful implementation.  (More...)

Project Management
I'm quite happy to apply any project management methods required - and I've even authored and trained some in my time - but where I have a choice, I prefer the Common Sense approach to project management, which is based on an understanding of the core issues.  (More...)

Interim Management
So your best manager has downed tools and eloped with the lead developer's partner? Very romantic, but that particular episode probably leaves you with a few problems.  (More...)

Two heads, four hands and forty-eight hours in the day!
Don't you ever wish that you had two heads? Couldn't you use an extra pair of hands? And wouldn't it be wonderful if occasionally the day had 48 hours? With 2-4-48 this is exactly what you get!  (More...)

So, what exactly is your problem?
Just like the local plumber, I offer an emergency service. I call it Hands-On, because that's what it is. Tell me what you need and I'll get it to you - despite the bad preparation and the ridiculous timescale :-)  (More...)
