Hands-On Services
A picture is worth a thousand words ...

Not quite!

But for most requests, I probably have a template in my library, which will provide the structure, the layout and the various trimmings that separate professional documents from something that was thrown together in the last desparate minutes of tender preparation.

Using templates, it's easy to create nice title pages. Document information that makes it look like you know what you're doing, can be added and adopted as needed. A table of contents that updates automatically and consistent headings and sub-heading are no longer a problem. Headers and footers, together with automatic page numbering, cross-referencing etc. are part of the deal and add the final touch of professionalism. Once the template is defined, a consistent look and feel across multiple documents is guaranteed.

Sample document template  Templates facilitate consistent look and feel across documents.

Theoretically, templates can even include the words that you need - products descriptions, standard terms and conditions etc. etc. It's even possible to drive document creation using marcos and even customer-specific parameter sets. My experience however, is that the effort involved in doing this cannot be justified for the emergency jobs implicit in "Hands-On".

The text you need is probably available somewhere in my library of existing documents. Judicious use of cut and paste as well as Ctrl+H (find and replace) can work wonders! If I don't have a suitable text, then I need to write one. I suspect that I can do that quicker than you can - 3rd parties just don't seem to suffer from writer's block the way that the owner of the problem tends to!

However we get there, the result might look something like this:

High quality text in a project proposal.

Notwithstanding the fact that I have been known to produce some pretty incredible results in a remarkably short timeframe :-), please remember that the more time you can can allocate for these services,
