We do not work with people of unsound mind – the guys (or gals!) who shout and scream, who blame everyone but themselves and who “lose it” on average once a day.
We do not work in environments that are lacking in trust. The way we work implies vast amounts of mutual trust. We want access to the important flows within your business, we want to talk to – and understand – your people, we need to “get” how your business ticks. Sorry, not do-able if you don’t want to trust us!
We do not like talking to the wall (or to ourselves). If you only need us to provide external verification of your view of the world, then forget it!
It’s not that we think we know all the answers, but we do expect you to explain where our thinking might be astray, so that we can refine our view and add real value.
Oh yes – and we need to like you! Business isn’t all fun, but working with a lively team just seems to make life easier. Anyway, isn’t life too short to be dealing with boring, grumpy, prejudiced people who can’t even get excited when things are going smoothly?
We do not particularly enjoy working on dead-end and no hope assignments. Sure, some tasks are more difficult than others and if it was all plain sailing, then you probably wouldn’t need our services! Notwithstanding that fact, there are still projects that can quickly be recognised as “dogs”, where the best – and humane – thing to do is to put them to sleep as quickly as possible.
By the way, identifying and killing “dogs” is something we’re quite good at!
