Since starting as an independent consultant in 2001, I have been involved in a number of interesting projects. Generally, these have centred around the definition and creation of new business areas for clients or around the implementation of "bleeding edge" technologies or business models.

Projects - like all aspects of business, I suppose - tend to exhibit cluster characteristics. If you do one project of a particular type, generally you'll find yourself doing more of the same type. This is due to experience gained, reputation or even just networking. (The Germans refer to the latter as Vitamin B - for "Beziehungen" or relationships).

Looking at my projects, there are a number of clusters to be seen - win.de, Chat Casino, LUCKY and Trader Games are all e-gambling implementations. Enrichment Tools and Enviromanagers both relate to start-up activities - building a business from the proverbial "blank sheet of paper". Project Value was similar, but was driven by my personal interest in system dynamics rather than by a client contract. The PaceMetrics project is an example of the application of emerging technology to mission-critical business processes. E-Business in a B2B context is represented by an awareness-building project , a strategy project as well as some thoughts on "getting her money into our bank account".

In addition to these larger projects, I have also been involved in a number of smaller projects , which can be clustered under the terms "mentoring" and "coaching".
