Born 1956 in Dublin, Ireland. Diploma in Architecture and Bachelor of Architectural Science, 1981; Master of Arts, 1992.Initial project management experience as Site Architect for a large-scale industrial project in Dublin. Entered the Computer-Aided Design business 1983, managing Applied Research of Cambridge’s Irish operations. Moved to Germany in 1985 and assumed responsibility with McDonnell Douglas for the introduction of the same CAD software to the DACH (German, Austrian and Swiss) market.
Joined Oracle Germany in 1988 to provide pre-sales, consulting, and project management support to customers throughout Germany. Re-joined Oracle in 1992 – after 11/2 years in sales and marketing role (DACH region) with an American start-up (Netwise Inc.) – assuming various business and project management roles. Transferred to Oracle EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) with responsibility for business development and project management within the Emerging Technologies Consulting Group, delivering interactive TV platforms to major European TelCos.
From June 1996 to August 1999, Business Development Manager and later, Business Unit Manager, Slingshot Product Group with CSK Software Limited, Dublin. Responsible for all aspects of the company’s business relating to real-time data delivery across the Internet. Subsequently, Director Marketing and Business Development with Digital Innovation Limited, Dublin, a CSK Software spin-out providing services, solutions and products to the digital TV and convergence markets (later Videsti Limited).
Joined fluxx.com AG in December 1999 filling a variety of roles, at strategic and operations levels. Starting September 2000, CEO for a total of six subsidiary companies within the fluxx.com e-gambling division - with aggressive revenue and profitability goals.
